BURTON, Ronald (Ron) L.

December 16, 1946 – Ottawa, Ontario
June 22, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Ron Burton, beloved husband of Kathy Burton (nee Heidecker) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the age of 72 years.

Ron was born in Ottawa, Ontario. His parents moved the family to Kimberley, BC in 1947 and they eventually settled in Coronation, Alberta in 1953, which became their permanent home. Ron and Kathy married in Coronation in 1968 and moved to Calgary later that year where Ron was employed by SAIT as a photographer until 1992. He was an avid photographer, curler, golfer, and football fan.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kathy of 51 years, and her extended family.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Shirley Burton; and his sister Susan Burton.

At Ron’s Request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

    So very sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I worked with him on numerous projects at SAIT and recall his lovely photos of Heritage Hall in particular. He had an infectious laugh which I shall miss at our future Koffee Klatch gatherings with fellow colleagues.
