Larger than life… A big man who will always occupy a big space in my heart…we shared an office years ago & slow days were a time for fatherly advice, poetry readings, & heartfelt tales of pride about his family & their accomplishments. I’m so sorry for your loss.

  5. George Summach :

Bob was always larger than life!
He and I went through the CREB Realtor program together, way back when,.. and we laughed every single day during those classes.
Our paths diverted a lifetime ago, he stayed in the biz. The few times we met and spoke since, was always with a laugh or two.
Always kind and likeable. Sometimes irreverent. Always with a smile.
That was the Bob Burk I knew.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Sincere sympathy to Claire and Kathleen and all his family. May God bless you and comfort you in this sad time. Len and I remember Bob back in our hometown and I went to school with his sister and my brother with Bob. As both he and I being realtors here in Calgary had occasion to cross paths over the years. Our families knew each other in Manitoba and his Mom and my Dad were first cousins and good friends.

I was so saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Sending Claire and Kathleen my sincere condolences. He was a wonderful man..I worked in the same real estate office for many years and our offices were close to each other. He was so helpful to us rookies when we started in real estate and was always there to answer our questions. He was ever so helpful and gave advice or would problem solve difficult situations after we became seasoned colleagues. I am thinking of your family today. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

  10. Claire,Kathleen – Very sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. I first became friends with Bob at Delta Beach in the summer of 1948. We were in the same Boy Scout troop as young teens, the same backfield for the 1959 PCI Trojans football team, and trained together as triple jumpers during track and field seasons. You probably know that Bob was the provincial h.s. champion in the spring of 1960. That fall, Bob’s mom(Ruth) drove us down to Grand Forks N. D. to enroll at UND. We became practically inseparable those 1st couple of years at university, including rooming together at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house as sophmores. During summers
we both worked at the Mb. Development Centre in Portage and often hung out together on weekends/holidays. Great memories.

My wife and are so saddened by the tragic loss. Our condolences to the family. We only met bob a couple years ago when moving from vancouver to calgary and he was awesome to work with. Great sense of humor and an extremly hard worker! We had many random laughing conversations on the front porch and he was like an uncle to me even in the short couple years. You will be missed bob!
