Keith, beloved husband of Manuela Browne (nee Mateo) of Calgary, AB, passed away on November 18, 2018 at the age of 63 years.
Keith was born in St. John’s, NL, on November 12, 1955, eighth child in a family of nine children. During Keith’s working career in Calgary, he was employed by Lafarge Construction, Kiewit Corporation, and Rubydale Asphalt Works Ltd.
Keith is survived by his wife Manuela Mateo and daughter Keila of Dominican Republic; his father, Roderick Browne of Cambridge, ON, formerly of St. John’s, NL, born in Paradise, Placentia Bay, NL; his brothers Garrett (Beatriz) of Calgary, AB; and Philip (Sandra) of Ottawa, ON; sisters Betty McDonald (Danny Coceanic) of Thunder Bay, ON; Sheila Ford (Chris) of St. John’s, NL; Maureen Oliver of Nain, Labrador, NL; and Elaine Browne (Johnny McCarthy) of Cambridge, ON; and his daughters Shannon Browne (William Tsoi) of Calgary, AB; Tarah Browne (son Brandon Tamagi) of Edmonton, AB; Laura Browne; and Lyndsey Browne. Keith also leaves behind a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his long-time friend, Darren Lenek of Calgary, AB.
Keith was predeceased by his mother, Marion Browne (nee Dwyer) of Bell Island, NL; his son Alan; and his brothers David and Larry (Ann).
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North Calgary, AB) on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Cremation has taken place. Following the visitation service at the Chapel of the Bells, Keith’s ashes will be delivered to the Dominican Republic, where a funeral ceremony will take place. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
