BROWN, Margaret Alice

January 6, 1929 – November 14, 2018

Margaret Brown passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her sons, David (Susan Winstanley) and Peter (Gale Wagner), by grandsons Alexander and Geoffrey, and by William Woodfine. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth, and her son Keith.

Marg was a loving mother, spouse and friend, who put her family first. She taught primary school for many years, and enjoyed travel, sewing, quilting and music. She volunteered her time playing the piano at church and retirement homes, and retained her ability to play the piano well into her declining years.

A private family gathering will be held in her memory. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, 800-7015 MacLeod Trail SW, Calgary AB T2H 2K6, www.alzheimercalgary.ca.

Thanks go out to the staff at Wentworth Manor who cared for her with great kindness and dignity in her many years of declining health.

  4. Dear David and Peter and families, Our sincere sympathy in the passing of your beloved mom Marg. Our thoughts are with you all. We know that Marg’s health has been declining for the last few years and now she will be at peace joining Ken. You will miss her very much. Hopefully your fond memories of the past will help you through these sad times. We sure have fond memories of the many Christmases that we spent all together, a tradition that Grandma Bertie started and we all took part in of the stocking stuffer exchange. Take good care.
