October 8, 2018 – Calgary, AB

Arthur (Art) Lubin Boudreau of Calgary passed away on October 8, 2018 at the age of 89 years.

Born in Boudreaville, NS (Cape Breton), Art, as a younger man loved dancing, playing cards and, at times, getting up to a little mischief. He acquired his ticket as a steam engineer and worked on large commercial shipping vessels, often being away from his family for months at a time. In 1973, he decided to make a change and move his family to Calgary where he worked for Canron, then later for PanCanadian, where he retired in 1994. Throughout his career, Art was always well-liked and recognized as being a dedicated hard-worker. Art was known by his family and friends for his sense of humour, his love of teasing and his laughter. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

Art is survived by his wife of almost sixty-five years, Mary Ella and their three children, Daniel, Rose Marie and Ronald (Ricki), all of Calgary. Art was also blessed with four grandchildren, Rebecca, Benjamin, Dominique and Dorian. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Zabine, his brothers Clifford (Dorothy), Joseph (Jean), his sister Anita, as well as his first child Lester of only five months.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 12, 2018 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the family residence.
