BIRCH, Leith Earl “Bud”

July 6, 1929 – Taber, Alberta
October 21, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Bud Birch of Calgary, a very kind, gentle soul, loved and admired by everyone who met him, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2018 with Emma and Carrie by his side.

Besides his loving wife Emma, Bud is survived by their son Blair; Bud’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren;

Bud also leaves behind his sister Kaye Fisher; sister-in-law Carol Birch; Aunt Beth (Lyman) Hall, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Merle; and brothers, Dale and Garnet.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through Memorial contributions in Bud’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

In living memory of Bud Birch, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
