BIGSTONEY, Marvin (Wâgîya) Lance

September 14, 1976 – Calgary, Alberta
January 12, 2019 – Morley, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, father, nephew, grandson, uncle and friend Marvin Lance BigStoney on January 12, 2019 at the age of 42 years.

Lance was a great athlete all of his life; from little league (crusher) to hockey. He was an active participant at the Calgary Stampede and was a stampede wrangler. Lance loved baseball. He went to tri cities in Idaho, NSA worlds in Whistler, BC and traveled throughout Alberta playing on multiple teams. Lance was a caring, loving, outgoing guy. Lance made friends everywhere he went.

Lance is survived by his children Orielly, Skylee, Keenen, Loni, Cree, Pernell and Noah; Parents Marvin (Jodie), Yolanda (Floyd); Sisters Christa (Dallas), Sandie, Tace (Alex), Edith (J.T.), Kari (Edwin), Denean; Brothers Newton, Charlos (Sheryl) and Danzel K.; two maternal grandmothers from Morley.
Lance leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins from Ma-Me-O Beach, Hobbema, Saskatchewan, Morley, Eden Valley and Bighorn. He had numerous relatives and friends, so we apologize if we have missed anyone.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Marvin BigStony (Morley, AB) on Thursday, January 17 and Friday, January 18, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at GoodStoney Rodeo Center (Morley, AB) on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
