Paul beloved husband of Madalyn Aileen Bentley (nee MacGillivray) of Calgary, AB, passed away on September 8, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
Paul was born in Toronto on September 5, 1942. He spent twelve years in the Canadian Armed Forces, serving in both Canada and overseas.
Paul married Madalyn on September 2, 1967, in Picton, Ontario. They moved to Grand Falls, New Brunswick, after Paul left the army as a Corporal, where he lived with family for five years. Paul worked as a power lineman all throughout the Province.
Paul and Madalyn moved to Alberta in 1978, where Paul worked in Red Deer until July 1978, when he then took a position with the City of Calgary in the Electric Department. He worked there until he retired at 53 years of age.
Paul loved to ski, ride horses, coach baseball, and play golf. He and Madalyn traveled to Mexico several times but also ventured overseas to both Russia and the Cook Islands. Paul loved disco, the blues, and some jazz, especially enjoying groups like Chicago, Santana, and The BeeGees.
Besides his loving wife, Paul is survived by his children Toni (Brent, Liam, Holly), Chris (Shannon, Caelan, Reiley) and Matthew (Candace). He is also survived by his sister Dianne McCall of Winnipeg, and Dianne’s children, Laura Lyons (Brendon, Avery)and David McCall.
A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
