    Cindy and Family:
Such sad news – I know I will echo the thoughts of so many who are saddened by the loss of Bill. Bill was a remarkable man, who was deeply committed to you, his family and friends (and yes, soccer too). I feel privileged to have had Bill in my life. I will hold dear so many good memories – his sparking wit, his smile, his kind nature and good and generous heart. Stewart and I will never forget him and hope this note helps you through this difficult time.

My condolences to the Arnett family and I am saddened by Bill’s loss. I met Bill at Dome Petroleum playing soccer in the 80’s. Bill was coaching, and playing with the A team. I really enjoyed playing soccer with Bill as he was extremely competitive and passionate about soccer. He always made sure you knew when he scored a goal. Bill was a great friend, and I will miss his kindness, sense of humour and just being a nice guy.

Cindy and family, Jane and I are heartfully sorry for your loss. I considered Bill one of my dearest friends and to have him taken away so early in life is a complete shock. Someone told me once that the measure of a man’s life is the number of lives he’s touched. I believe Bill touched many in a good and positive way, whether through business, soccer or friendships. He had a massive heart and was always willing to help. Please accept our condolences.

I want to offer my sincere condolences to Cindy and family on Bill’s passing. I was shocked. I have known Bill since he was a client at Westcoast Petroleum many years ago. While he was first a client , he soon became a good friend.

While a passionate and focused business man, I especially valued and appreciated his care and compassion
For his family and friends. He made a special trip up to our home way in the north last year after my health bump.

I will miss Bill. My thoughts go with you.

I got to know Bill over the 5 years we worked together and although I was located in the Vancouver office, Bill went out of his way to make me feel welcome in Calgary. His sense of humor was wonderful. As difficult as this time is for you, know that there are many of us who’s lives were touched by Bill that are sending thoughts, prayers and support from afar.

  14. Cindy and family – My heartfelt condolences to you all. I have been blessed to have had Bill in my life. It was thanks to Bill that I learned early in my career the importance of relationships and I place much of my success in my career to my early days working with him. It wasn’t long before he went from being a client to being a very good friend. Bill gave so much of himself and has had such an impact on so many people in his life. I will miss him terribly but feel so lucky to have had a chance to spend some time with him recently. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill was undoubtedly one of the nicest, kindest fellows you could ever meet, and I was proud to have him for a friend. I’m going to miss my coffee meetings with Bill, as no matter how poorly his beloved Sunderland were performing, it was always a positive experience, and Bill brightened up the places we met. Words cannot truly convey how I’m feeling right now, but please know that Liz and I send our sincerest condolences, and know we are holding Bill and all of his family close in our thoughts and prayers.
