Florence (Cookie) Allen of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the age of 91 years.

Cookie was actively involved with IODE (Imperial Order, Daughters of the Empire) for over thirty years and was a founding member of the chapter in Winnipeg. She gave countless volunteer hours to their charity shop in Calgary.

Cookie is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Elise Allen, Scott and Joy Allen, Ross Allen and Anne Woodley, and Randy and Sherry-Anne Allen; twelve grandchildren, Jason (Lindsey), Matthew (Amber), Rachelle (Shawn), Laura (Jeff), Kristy (Desmond), Ashley (Jubin), Julie (Bram), Zach (Laura), John Ross, Portia, Hunter, and Payton; ten great-grandchildren, Jacob, Anna, Michael, Felix, Abbott, Juliette, Emma, Luke, Sara, and Lily; and important and special friend Karen Allen. Cookie was predeceased by her husband Robert Allen in 1989.
