ZOLD, Stanley Andrew

October 23, 1930 – March 13, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our beloved father and husband Stan at the age of 84.

He will forever be remembered by his wife of 49 years Marilyn; their two daughters, Debbie (Greg Ecker) of Calgary and Karen (Russ Highwo) of Surrey, BC. His precious grandsons Brendan, Spencer and Tyler Ecker will deeply miss their Papa and their number 1 hockey fan. Stan is also survived by his sisters Della, Jean and Josie. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Zold; and siblings Daisy, Dorothy, Joe and Gloria.

At dad’s request there will be no funeral but rather a gathering for family and friends at the Crestmont Community Hall (12400 Crestmont Blvd S.W.) on Thursday March 19 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Please join us in celebrating Stan’s life. All are welcome. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Stan Zold, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, Telephone: 403-276-2296.

I send my deepest condolences to you and the rest of the family. I am so very thankful that I eventually got to meet Uncle Stan and of course the rest of you. The few times that we all got together will be etched in my memories forever. The Zold family are all a very part of my family. I feel very lucky to have met them after years of growing up away from the family. You are all very much a part of my family. As I think of the times spent with you and Uncle Stan I feel very honored to know all of you. My heart goes out to you all during this very difficult time. God Bless. Love Barb and family.
