Young In Yoo of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the age of 70 years old.
He was born July 24, 1943 in the Seoul area, being the youngest of three sons. In the early 1970s, he was employed by NCR Corporation and through his employment, he immigrated to Toronto, Canada. After a few years with NCR Corporation, he moved to Edmonton during the 1970s Alberta oil boom to set up his own company, Young Cash Register. Through his company, he serviced businesses all over Alberta. While regularly attending a customer in Jasper, Alberta, he discovered several business opportunities in the picturesque town. Starting in the late 1980s, he purchased and operated several businesses in Jasper until the early 2000s. Young had a passion for golf. He would regularly play 36 holes well into his 60s.
Young was predeceased by his father Tae Joon Yoo, and mother Sun Ja Kim. He is survived by his two older brothers, Young Chul Yoo and Young Gil Yoo; his wife, Joung Seop Yoo; his two sons, Rockey Yoo and Rockson Yoo; his three granddaughters, Sera Yoo, Stella Yoo, and Alexandra Yoo.
