YIP, Ken Ye

March 26, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta

Ken Ye Yip beloved wife of Dan You Yip of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the age of 85 years.

Ken Ye immigrated to Calgary in 1979. She was married to Dan You Yip for 65 wonderful years. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. The most important thing in her life was her children and grandchildren. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening in the summer. The vegetables she planted always tasted the best. She was an incredibly strong woman with great tenacity, who always looked after her family. Her favorite pastime was to play Mahjong, where she could play and have fun with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dan You Yip, and her three children, Dan Fat Yip (Wun Yin), Kem Chee Ma (Stanley), and Anita Yee (Jeffrey).

The family of Ken Ye Yip would like to give special thanks to Dr. Cunningham, nurses and staff at the Sarcee Carewest Hospice for their compassionate care.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:30p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
