Yee, Fong “Beau” Shee

Beau, beloved father and husband, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the age of 67 years.

Beau will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 35 years, Kate and greatly missed by his son, Colin and his fiancée, Caroline. Beau is also survived by his mother Kit; brothers Robert, Gordon, Ron: and sisters Jeannie and Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. Beau is pre-deceased by his father Bing and his brother Bo. Beau was born in China and came to Canada in 1952 at the age of eleven, by himself and on a plane to meet up with his father in Innisfail. It was there that he met his life-long friend, Ronnie and started down a path that would take him to Olds, Red Deer and Edmonton. Beau eventually moved to Calgary in the late 1960’s and worked for over twenty-five years at Hy’s Steakhouse. It was there that he created many valued friendships and wonderful memories. Later in life, Beau enjoyed his time working on his stamp collection, his flowers, and attending his community exercise class where he met many new friends.
