May 4, 1954 – July 24, 2010
It is with great sadness we announce Cam’s passing after a courageous six-year battle against cancer. Cam will be dearly missed by Liz, his wife of 23 years and, his girls Lauren and Gillian.
Cam is survived by his mother Pat, his sisters Jennifer and Toby; Liz’s mum Doris, sister Judy (Vern), brothers Alan(Dianne), Derek (Ann), David (Linda)and Robin and their families.
Cam grew up in Cranbrook, BC where he developed a passion for downhill skiing, hiking and, fishing. These passions were enjoyed for many years with family and friends in the places he called home, Vancouver, Clearwater, Fort Nelson and Cochrane. Cam had a big grin on his face while in the great outdoors whether volunteering as a ski patroller, or carving a turn on Whitehorn at Lake Louise. When Cam wasn’t outside, he could be found in his workshop creating beautiful furniture or in front of his stereo listening to music at decibels that rattled the windows. Cam had a unique sense of humour and enjoyed having a laugh with family and friends.
Cam earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1981 and had a successful career in public practice and later in the forest industry. Wherever he worked, Cam was a dedicated employee, who brought an exceptional work ethic to his job and encouraged those around him to meet their potential.
Cam’s family would like to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Bebb and the incredible nurses at Tom Baker Cancer Centre and to their family doctor, Dr. MacDonnell.
