My deepest sympathies to friends and family of Mr. Woods. When I think of Dave I smile as he was always happy and had time to chat about everything and anything. He was so knowledgable about so many topics. He will be truly missed and was a joy to know.

  4. I remember Chef Dave well. He worked tirelessly to make sure those students knew every bone on every animal they processed in meat cutting. I think Dave would have made a good Dr. of Veterinary Medicine. He was a credit to his profession. My only regret is that we didn’t see more of him after he retired. Maybe that is part of his legacy that when our peers retire let’s make sure we keep in touch. God bless you Dave. W’ell miss you. ———— Sean

  7. Cyndy Woods and family :

Sandy, I am so very sorry to hear about Dave. He was the oldest of the cousins. I spent many happy times at the John Woods house, as a girl, chasing Grant, Kerrie, Gina and Barry around. Dave was older and ‘wiser’. He will be missed by us all. We are sending you all our love and support to help you through. XXX Cyndy

  8. Cindy Findlay ( SAIT) :

I was sorry to hear that Dave passed on so soon after retiring from SAIT, he really didn’t get much time to enjoy the new chapter in his life. I always remember Dave coming into the office in the morning with his big walking stick, it didn’t matter what the weather was like you could count on seeing Dave making his way across the campus with a purposeful stride. He was a valuable member of our team and a wonderful human being, he will be missed.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I live close to Ched Woods on Cambrian Road and will miss seeing him treck down the road with his walking stick. Dave always had a smile and a great sence of humor. I had the opportunity to work with Dave in the School of Hospitality and Tourism at SAIT for 16 years. He will be missed.

    Dear Bio Dad,
It has been just over a year since I came to see you. I was so thankful and blessed to not only visit with you but also to know that we loved each other.

I was honoured that you were my bio dad and that by being my bio Dad you helped to shape me into the woman that I am today.
My only regret is that I did not get to know you earlier.
Ty to my special Woods family for accepting me and loving me.
I love you Dad. Xoxo Marjorie
