  3. One of my favourite memories is when Joachim was competing at the Special Olympics in Canmore. The day was beautiful, the sun shining, clear blue sky, and good quality snow for Cross Country Skiing. A bunch of people gathered together, who belonged and were joyful to be there, I’m grateful to have shared this moment Joachim. May his soul rest in peace.

From the Valley Vintage Wheels Car Club in Comox B.C. Sorry to hear of Joes passing. We often thought how he was doing. He enjoyed the club and a lot of our events we had. Picnics, parades, tours etc. and was very glad to be a member, even without a car. Best regards from all the members.

    Dear Mrs. Wlodarczak and family,
I was very saddened to read of Joe’s passing. My office – Farm Labour Pool was situated in the same building as Quest – a program Joe took part in. From 1988 – 1995 on weekdays Joe would join me for coffee break. He was truly a lovely person, we had many good conversations about day-to-day goings-on. Over the years I’ve often wondered where and what Joe was up to. I will always remember him with fondness.
    Sincerely,
    Judy Plewis

My heart is with you all on your loss of Joachim. He approached life with such joy and happiness. He loved his classic cars and knew them all by make, model, and year. He was awesome cross country skier, swimmer and bowler. We had some great conversations when ever we saw each other. He will be greatly missed by many both in Calgary and in Courtenay, B.C.
