WITWICKI, Michael Charles

July 2, 1941 – Lethbridge, Alberta
July 17, 2013 – Calgary, Alberta

After a long illness, Mike passed into peace at the Agape Hospice on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, leaving behind his beloved wife Anna, and his dog, Saydee. Mike will be greatly missed by us all.

From his days with the Lethbridge and Calgary Police Departments, Woodwards Meat Department, and as a Meat Marketing Director at the Calgary Co-Op, Mike had many friends. After his retirement, he chose to spend more time with people and became a shuttle driver at Charlesglen Toyota, and then at Royal Oak Audi, where he welcomed the company of four legged passengers, as well as two-legged. He loved animals and children, his Harley, and his many cars.

Mike leaves to mourn his brothers Norman (Anna), Melvin (Joyce) and Neil (Loanne); his sister-in-law Ruth (Chris); brother-in-law Klaus (Dilene); nieces Leanna and Kristen; along with many other friends and family.

A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110th Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7, Telephone: (403)205-4455, Condolences may be forwarded through

  1. Andrew Fagan :

Thanks for everything you’ve done for me over the last few years. I wouldn’t be where I am today without your advice. Even though you drove me absolutely crazy on the professional side you were a great friend.

You will be sadly missed by many people.

Anna, I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Anna, I am so sorry to hear of my cousin Michael’s death. It is a lot of years since I last saw him but when we were children our families spent a lot of time together at grandma’s house, and those happy memories stay with one.
I lost Harold 3 years ago, Anna, so I can share your feelings of grief. Take care of yourself. Blessings, Joy
