Alex beloved husband of Beverly Witczak (nee Hall) of Calgary Alberta, passed away on August 20, 2014 at the age of 63 years.
Alex was a Senior System Controller at The Alberta Electrical System Operator (AESO). He worked 45 years in The Alberta Electrical Utilities field for AESO, Transalta, and Calgary Power. Alex had a high regard for physical fitness and loved weight training, downhill and water skiing, squash and yoga. He also enjoyed the stock market and old muscle cars: his own car being a 1967 Barracuda Convertible.
Alex is survived by his wife of 36 years Beverly Witczak; children Nicholas Witczak (Laura), Amanda Witczak (Marc Laferriere); grandchildren Alexander Witczak and Andre Laferriere; mother Helga Bialecki all of Calgary; sister Chris Brooker (Kerry “Snoop”) of Watervalley; brother Norbert Becker (Brigitte) of Waidhofen, Germany; nephews Matthew and Nathan Hall of Grand Prairie; nephew Nicolas Becker and niece Sinja Becker both of Waidholfen, Germany; mother-in-law Virginia Hall of Calgary; brothers-in-law Bob Hall of Grand Prairie, Wayne Hall of Calgary; sister-in-law Ann Hall of Grand Prairie; close friends Greg Rushford, Greg Gibney, and too many more to list. He was predeceased by his father Tadeusz “Ted” Witczak; step-father Andy Bialecki and father-in-law Fin Hall.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY(Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
