WINDSOR, Stella Winnifred

July 14, 1944 –July 17, 2012

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Stella Winnifred Windsor. Stella passed away on July 17, 2012 at the age of 68. Stella was a kind, loving, generous woman. She lit up every room she was in with her charisma, laughter and kindness.

Stella was born in Stettler, Alberta on July 14, 1944 to parents Peter and Dorothy Annable. She attended school in Alix until graduation and then attended secretarial school. She worked in Toronto for a few years until a work transfer brought her to Winnipeg. It was in Winnipeg Stella met and married Brian Windsor.

Stella and Brian moved to Calgary in 1978 with her daughter Jennifer and son Bradley. She began working at Equitable Life with Grant Mastre for five years. She then began working for Montreal Trust in Human Resources where she made numerous lifelong friends. Stella eventually returned to property management until her retirement. Although Stella enjoyed only a short retirement it was one of the best years of her life. She shopped and lunched with friends, visited her daughter in Hawaii, and attended her sons wedding in Mexico and reception in Comox.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Windsor-Ball (Brian);son Bradley Windsor(Janine)and her granddaughter Serena Ball and grandson Xander Ball. She is also survived by her sister Carol Friestadt(Len);brother Bruce Annable (Joan) along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Peter Annable and her mother Dorothy.

Relatives and close friends are invited to a celebration of Stella’s life at Haysboro Community Center (1204 – 89th Avenue S.W.) on July 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Condolences to the family can be emailed to
