  1. Laurie (Hill) Costello :

Dan, Jennifer, Marcie, and all Hazel’s grandchildren,

So very sorry to hear of Hazel’s passing. Dan, my heart goes out to you and all your loved ones today. Indeed she had such pride in her children, and of all of her grandchildren.

I have known Hazel for about 40 years, and can truly say her strength in times of the many trials she faced in life, was both amazing and inspiring. She was a true example of carrying on in spite of unimaginable tragedy.

I hope that in time, your sadness will make way for the memories of happy times together.

  4. Josie and Ray Taylor :

Dear Daniel, Jennifer and all Hazel’s Grandchildren: Our sympathy on the passing of your Mom and Grandmother. My memories of the many visits we had over the years are good ones. I loved to see her drive in the yard. Indeed, she was so well-read and up to date on world events it was always a learning experience. She was so very proud of her family. She covered ground quickly and I had told her she made me tired watching her. She would’ve been able to see all her grandchildren’s events, no problem. She’ll be missed by all of you, but she no doubt has left wonderful memories as she has for me. She won’t be forgottten.

  5. Dear Danny and Jennifer: My sincere sympathy in the passing of your mother. Hazel was a dear friend to me and so very thoughtful. Even through all her own losses and heartaches in 23 years she never forgot my son’s birthday or death day and she was the only one that did that for me. Her strength and courage was amazing. She will always be a mentor for me. Treasure your memories as she was so proud of her granchildren and always had the latest pictures to show. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for having Mrs Black contact me. Willard passes his condolences also as we had some good ski trips with your folks. Sincerely Elaine Kondro

  6. Sharon and Dale Crush :

WE are so sorry to hear that Hazel has passed away. She will be greatly missed by her family of whom she spoke of so lovingly whenever we saw her back in the Lloydminster area. Hazel grew up a mile North of me (Sharon (Nelson) Crush. She was like my big sister, always asking me how things were going. One year at our one room school, Rex, my sister, Linda, and I even had the good fortune to have her as our teacher. It was a very special year for us and the rest of the class. Hugs to you all.

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. My sister Waneta had been keeping in touch with her and had not heard from her lately and we all wondered if she was doing okay and now we know.
