  6. Bob/Maureen Sumner :

    To the Wilson Family:
So sorry to learn about Don’s passing. He was a long time friend of over 50 years and regrettably, we haven’t got together too much lately. Lots of good memories with Oilmen’s bonspiels in Edmonton, antique and bottle collecting and sharing lots of laughs. I valued his friendship very much. He was a great guy and will be missed. Our sincere condolences.

  7. I recall with a special fondness the time I spent with Don and the rest of you during 2003 and am so sorry that timing didn’t work to participate in tomorrow’s service. My sincere condolences to each of you. May the memories of love and life shared be a source of comfort and strength through these days and especially as you gather with extended family and friends tomorrow. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    Patty and Barb,
Jim and I were so very saddened to read of your father’s passing in the newspaper. I know how much you will miss your Dad, and Max will miss him terribly!
Your Mom and Dad were such wonderful friends and neighbors on Woodpath Terrace. We often missed your Dad’s smiling face and friendly chats after he left our street.

    Thinking of you all,
    With our deepest sympathies,
    Jim and Karen Irvine (#77)

  12. Joan MacKenzie :

My Uncle Don was an amazing man. He was talented in all the ways that mattered: as a family man devoted to his wife and 3 children; as a loving, compassionate brother, son and Uncle; as a successful businessman and provider for his family; an animal lover, devoted to his dogs; as an artist who taught himself to paint and play the sax; as a sportsman who golfed, curled and sailed passionately. Uncle Don, you lived every moment to the absolute fullest and we are very grateful for the 86 years you spent here with us.

    Barb, Bob & Patti,
We are so sorry to hear about Don’s passing. What a great friend he was to us…we will miss our annual lunch! We had such great times on his boat and will cherish those memories.
Unfortunately, we won’t be attending his memorial due to both of us having this dreadful cold/flu…we really don’t want to pass this onto anyone.
We will miss our wonderful friend, Don!
