WILLMEK, Kenneth George

March 22, 1939 – March 7, 2013

Ken Willmek, of Calgary, passed away on March 7, 2013 at the age of 73 years.

Ken was born in Tuberose, SK and grew up on a farm southwest of Elrose, SK. He worked as an accountant for Correctional Service Canada until his retirement in 2000. Ken had a passion for classic cars, and he spent much of his spare time restoring them and attending car shows.

Ken is survived by his son, Jeremy Willmek; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley and Andre Drouillard; two grandsons, Damian and Mathew; three brothers, Leslie (Bridget), Raymond (Henriette) and John; a sister, Eileen; a brother-in-law, Charlie; and numerous nephews and nieces – too many to list!

Ken was predeceased by his wife, Mary Willmek (nee Nenzel); parents, Michael and Mary Willmek; brothers, Frank, Mike and Martin; and sisters, Mary McComish and Ellen Fontaine.

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (400 Edmonton Trail NE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
