1925 – 2010

Louis was born on March 7, 1925 in Georgetown, Guyana, the eldest son of Abraham and Cecilia Williams. He was educated in Guyana and Jamaica, where he attended St. George’s College. He volunteered for the Royal Air Force during World War II and was stationed in England. After the war he settled in England, where he worked as an accountant and office manager. He moved to Canada in 1965 and spent twenty-five years with the City of Calgary, retiring as a commercial property assessor. He also owned and operated several small businesses. Louis was an energetic man with an inquiring mind. He had many interests, but particularly enjoyed tracking world affairs, researching alternative medicines, and meeting new people. After retirement he enjoyed working two days a week for the Commissionaires and traveling south during the winters.
