Condolence Messages

  1. Sue Allyson Campbell :

Christopher has touched my heart most deeply and profoundly. His was a truly beautiful soul—golden and pure—unique in these times. He was very loving and kind, although quite mischievous. His warmth and humour was appreciated by those fortunate enough to know him. My acquaintance with him was way too brief, but had long-lasting benefits. I thought of him often over the years, something would remind me of him, and I would smile and recall something he had said or done. Some of his catch phrases would come to mind, like “you betcha”, I find myself using and smile and think of him. His courage was tremendous—goes without saying—to fight the illness that he had and still maintained his sunny disposition.

Like Woody, in Toy Story, had Andy’s name inscribed on his boot, Christopher’s name is inscribed on my heart. Thank you, Cori, for the wonderful son you and Darcy have shared with us for such a brief moment. Your courage as well as Chris’ is an amazing accomplishment. Now is a time for peace and rest for you and your family. I know it hasn’t been easy for any of you. Please know that you have done well, and it doesn’t sound like much, but you have given us all a great gift. Bless your heart. I weep with you.

  2. Richard Girvitz :

Chris will always be my buddy. I will always remember Chris for how excited he was to see people. Even it had been less than one day, Chris would act with a genuine enthusiasm as if it had been a long time that passed. One of the many things that made Chris so special to everyone. Some people have the thousand yard stare; Chris owned the thousand yard smile!

I would like to pass along my condolences to the Wiebe and McInnis families; and to all the Support Workers who had the privilege of working with and knowing Chris.

  3. Monique Sibilo :

My condolences to your family at your great loss.
I had the privilege of working with Christopher for one short year, when he was 4 years old. His incredible smile is forever imprinted on my heart. He was always happy and smiling. He was funny and mischievous. He made us all smile! Christopher was one of those rare souls who sprinkled joy onto everyone who was ever lucky enough to have met him. And no matter how briefly they knew him, no one could help but smile when thoughts of him entered their minds.
Unfotunately, I did not know Chris as he grew into an adult. In my mind, Christopher will always be 4, but I can imagine how his fun loving character and infectious smile went on to touch the lives of so many more. Thanks for sharing him with us. He has truly served his purpose in life!

  4. It has been a few years since I last had the pleasure of seeing Christopher’s goofy smile, however I have thought of him often. Christopher left a mark on my soul in a very unique way. He was one of my first clients here in Alberta and he was the one who helped me realize the career path that I needed to take. He inspired me to become a child psychologist. He was the one who showed my that these young people need extra support to help them shine. I intend on giving that to each and eveyr client I have. Thank you Cristopher.
Christopher had a kind and gentle soul. Often that soul was masked by his condtion and medications. However, I was able to have the honor of knowing his kind and gentle soul. I also got to witness and experience his enthusiasm and excitment when he greeted someone even if it had only been a short time since he saw them last.
Christopher will always hold a special place in my heart and thoughts. Thank you Christopher for your friendship. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us. His kind and gentle soul is now free to roam the great beyond to touch other’s souls as he moves on in his journey.
