Condolence Messages

  1. Ron and Pearla Brandenburg :

Rena was a very cooperative, hard-working and respectful student at Queen Elizabeth High School where I was a teacher and my wife Pearla worked as a secretary. Over the years I have forgotten the names of most of my students(I am not retired) but I do remember the Whitney kids-Rena, Rhonda and Lee. And my memories are and will be good ones. Our heartfelt condolences to the family and we share the grief of your loss.

  5. So saddened to learn of Rena’s passing. I worked with Rena and she was a beautiful woman with a kind soul. She is greatly missed. Words are not enough to express the sadness of this news and how much I wish I’d had a chance to see her smiling face one more time. Please know that my thoughts are with your family and her loved ones right now. I know that she loved you all very much. She always spoke of her family fondly and often and we especially talked about how much we both loved being Aunties and I recall her saying that she can’t imagine how much parents loved their own children because she had so much love as an Auntie and that she KNEW parents loved their children more but she had so much love being an Aunt the love of a mother was more than she could imagine. I pray that her love and warmth follows each and everyone of you who are feeling the pain of this loss.

  6. Kevin Dorsey :

I knew Rena from a very young age in Calgary’s Briar Hill area. And attended High School with her at Queen E.Unfortunately we lost contact over the years but I had the opportunity to talk to her on Facebook several times to catch up and it was like we had not missed a thing. Its a shock to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to her family on their loss. She will have a place in my memory so long as I have a conscious thought. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am sure she will be sorely missed by those who knew her.

  7. I just received the news of Rena’s passing, today.
I hadn’t been in touch with her since 2012, and was hoping to catch up with her again.
Her and I dated a long time ago. I am grateful to have the memories I have of her and I together.
Rena was the love of my life. I never ‘got over’ her…
My heartfelt condolences to her friends, and especially to her family.

  8. I used to work with Rena at Calgary Parking back in 2006. I was hoping to reconnect and found that she has passed on. She was such a loving spirit and I was drawn to her gentleness immediately. We lost touch and it leaves my heart very heavy that we did not have a chance to share more wonderful memories. I send you my deepest condolences and remember her always speaking so highly of her sister Rhonda who she was very close to and loved Rhonda’s children. She had her struggles and I pray her passing was a peaceful one.
