After a courageous three year battle with ovarian cancer, Joanna (Jo) of DeWinton, AB passed away at the age of 80. Surrounded by loved ones, and in the magnificent care of the Foothills Country Hospice she ended her journey.

  8. My sincere condolences to the family of Joanna Wensink on her recent passing and as you all say your final good-byes today and share your long time remembrances of her.
I have know Joanna for many of the 40 years I have lived in DeWinton. It goes back to the days when she and Bill were active members of the Community Association. Then although all our connections and meetings were reduced, it was always a pleasure to meet up with her at the grocery store, mailbox, yoga class or where ever our pathways crossed. She was a beautiful person in and out and I will treasure my fond remembrances of her.
