Alis Randy Way, beloved wife of William (Bill) Shanks of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the age of 54 years after a battle with a brain tumour.
Alis was a member of both the Calgary and the Royal scottish country dance societies and will be missed by the other members.
She is survived by her brother Kim MacDonald of Penticton, BC; niece Cassie MacDonald of Coquitlam, BC; a stepson and his wife, Cameron and Lee Shanks of Malahat, BC; a stepdaughter Kelly Shanks of Toronto, ON; as well as aunts and cousins in Alberta, Manitoba and Arizona. Alis was predeceased by her parents, Eldon (Al) and Isobel Way of Olds, AB.
A Celebration of Alis’s life will be held in The Summit Room, 6868 Sierra Morena Blvd. S.W. on Saturday, March 20, 2004 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., to which all friends are invited.
