December 29, 1954 – Calgary, AB
June 13, 2013 – Calgary, AB
Kerry passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013 after a one year battle with pancreatic cancer, with his brothers at his side.
Kerry was born and lived his life in Calgary. As a youth, he was very active in the 18th Boy Scout Troop and it was there that he met his best friend, Jim Tobias. His love of the outdoors led him to a career in surveying, most recently with ATCO Gas. He loved to hike and he also loved cars and enjoyed working on them in his garage – the faster, the better. He was a talented artist and his house is full of incredible pictures which he took and then used his computer and his talent to make them even more beautiful. He was loved for his wonderful birthday cards which he created and sent to family members.
Kerry is survived by his mother, Veronica; his four brothers, John (Karen), Jim (Lynda), Barry (Nicola Osse), and Roland (Frances); his nephews and nieces, Dave Ward (Andrea, Carson, Marley), Amanda Hehr (Jonny, Abbey, Jasper), Raleigh Thomas (Grant), Daniel Ward (Sara Howie and Liam), Amy Ward (Ken and Zayha Mercredi) as well as Irene’s family in Quebec.
He was predeceased by his father, Les Ward and his wife and best friend, Irene Ward. Kerry’s urn with be placed with his wife Irene’s in Montreal, Quebec.

A gentle man who graced our lives by his quietness and underlying sense of humour. He loved my sister and that made him a good guy. Condolences from your family in Ottawa, Sister-in-law, Donna, Henry (spouse), Katherine and David. Your niece and nephew cared a great deal for you and and would probably text you in heaven if they could. God took you too soon. (submitted a second time)
