WALLACE, James (Jim)

April 20, 1931 – Edinburgh, Scotland
January 19, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta

Jim Wallace, beloved husband of Mary Wallace of Calgary, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the age of 83 years.

Besides his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Jim is survived by five children, Jim Wallace Jr., Maureen Riley (Dale), Lena Whittaker (Rick), Sheila Hanford (Gregg) and Alan Wallace (Kara); six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Alan Wallace, Margaret Giles and Pamela Hamilton-Banks and their families. Jim will be reunited with his grandson Brandon.

A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Jim’s life will follow at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

  2. I only met Jim once or twice in my life, but I feel like I knew him through my 28 year friendship with his daughter, Maureen, my BFF. She loved and admired her dad. Being unable to support Maureen at this time is so difficult, but she knows I’m there in spirit.

    Jim: Know that I will be there for your daughter as soon as I am back in Calgary. You raised a wonderful, loyal, dedicated daughter and I love her dearly.
