WALLACE – John (Jack) Charles Smith

March 27, 1936 – January 20, 2010

John (Jack) Charles S Wallace beloved husband of Phyllis Janet Wallace of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2010 at the age of 73 years.

Jack was born in High River, AB. He was the second oldest of sixteen children; nine sisters and six brothers. He served twenty-five years in the Canadian Military with the LDSH and was manager of Aerospace firm SAL.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Phyllis (nee Bellingham); his children Howard (Colleen), Dawn (Gord), Dale (Cindy); his grandchildren JT and Khrystle; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother (Helen), father (John), and sister’s Glenda and May.

A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Sunday, January24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.   3. I am so sorry for your loss Phyllis. Although we have never met I spent hours at Tim’s with Jack listening to his stories and solving the worlds problems. His strength and integrity were amazing to me no matter how he felt. I will miss him always smiling and laughing.

  6. I have been away from Calgary and just found out that Jack had passed away. I am so sorry for your loss Phyllis. I hung around the Tim Horton’s with Jack and listened to his stories and musings over many coffees and as many weekends. I also served in the military and Jack’s memories of his service were very entertaining and welcomed. They will also be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences to the Wallace Family. I salute you Jack.
