Walker, Dennis

Dennis E. J. Walker of Calgary passed away at his home on Monday, May 17, 2004 at the age of 79 years.

Dennis was born on October 9, 1924 on the family farm in Lake Lenore, SK. He was one of twelve brothers and sisters. Dennis came to Calgary in 1954 where he met and married Sonia in 1965. His chosen career was as an auto mechanic for Tower Dodge, Varsity Chrysler and Eastside Dodge until his retirement in 1991.

Dennis is survived by his two daughters, Kim Walker of New Denver, BC, Tracy Walker and daughter-in-law Susan Dezengoski, both of Calgary; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Darrell and Lynda Walker of Armstrong, BC, and Dean Walker of Gleichen, AB; five grandchildren, Chad, Nicholas, James, Alicia, and Mattias. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Alma, May, Joe, Cyril, and Jane; as well as numerous other relatives. Dennis was predeceased by his wife Sonia in 1996; parents Marie and Joseph Wourms; siblings, Ida, Alex, Herman, Martha, Aurilla and Daniel.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W.) on Friday, May 21, 2004 at 11:00 A.M.
