WAGNER, Karin Kristina (nee Granberg)

January 21, 1922 – April 22, 2012

On April 22, 2012, at the age of 90 years, Karin passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family.

She was born January 21, 1922 in Umea, Sweden. In 1927 her father moved the family to Canada. He purchased a farm near Polworth, Saskatchewan. Later she spent time in England, Winnipeg and Kelowna, but finally settled in Calgary in 1951. There she met and married Anton (Tony) Wagner in 1952. Karin`s hospitality, generosity and genuine love of people endeared her to those whose lives she touched. She loved to laugh, talk and tell stories. Her faith was a major part of her life and brought her great fulfillment. She was an encouragement to many.

Her loving husband Tony predeceased her in 1991. Still here with her firmly in our hearts and minds are her daughter Gail Carter (Jim), son Les Wagner (Wendy), grandchildren Amber Carter, Jason Carter (Tara), Tiffany Garcia (Paul), Shawn Wagner (Lisa), great grandchildren Nathan, Ezra, Brooke, Avril, Easton. Karin loved and was close to her large family of seven brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Granberg family reunions were a special time for all. She is survived by her brothers Sten (Violet) and John (Joyce) Granberg and by her sister Elsie Wright. We will all miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held at KINGDOM HALL CENTRE (2900 – 14 Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through
