Marion Vavra passed away in Calgary on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the age of 72 years.

Marion was born and educated at Outlook and Saskatoon, SK. She was employed by the University of Calgary until retirement. She was active in community and church activities at St. Pius Catholic Church.

She is survived by her brothers John and Bill; sisters Margaret, Anne, Vivian, Veronica, Evelyn and Barbara; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 – 24th Avenue N.W.) on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

    too soon. We had met with Marion in Outlook a few times at town celebrations but were kept up to date on how Marion was doing up to a few years ago by brother Ray who also lived in

  3. Marion was my close friend and colleague for over 40 years. We worked together, lunched together, spent many hours sharing farm stories together, and enjoying our retirements. She was a gift to me and everyone who knew her, and I will remember and miss her always.
