    Dear Laura and family,
We are so sorry to have heard about John’s passing. He was one terrific guy. He was one of my first dental supply guys. He could always brighten my day when he came into my office. 8. John will always be in my thoughts and memories. He has impacted my life in many ways. From being a better person to being a better leader in business.
Our encounters were only a couple of times a year at business meetings. Every time I saw John he left some sort of positive deposit in my life. He always had wisdom to share. He loved life and his family. I remember one conversation we had where he shared how he loved to watch cartoons (the Simpsons) with his kids and laught with them. He loved the simple things in life and he appreciated every moment. Even though John has left this earth he will continue to live on in each of our lives. John I love you and will miss you. I pray that the Lord will give renewed strength every day to your loved ones. Rest well.

I am so saddened to read of John’s death so young—my sympathies to his wife and children, John and Nellie, and Neal and Karen and their families. From reading the comments and condolences I see that he carried on his pleasant positive attitude through his adult life to his family and co-workers and friends. I have these same great memories of John and his classmates at Our Lady Immaculate School in Strathroy more than 50 years ago (he was in one of my first classes as a “young” teacher). The Dental Community is less complete with the loss of this remarkable man. I can not remember a time that John skipped a beat with his sense of humour. I would like to take this opportunity to thank his family for sharing him with those who were his “Dental Family” John will live on in the hearts of many, I look at those he directly mentored and can see that he is there with them. A monumental portion of who he was is mirrored in those he devoted his time to. John created bonds that will not be broken in his passing. His presence will be missed but knowing that his spirit lives on in each and everyone of us I hope brings some peace to your hearts!

    To John with Love

Those dental assisting days, of telling tales and biting nails are gone,
    But in my mind,
I know they will still live on and on,
But how do you thank someone, who has taken you from crayons to perfume?
It isn’t easy, but I’ll try,

If you wanted the sky I would write across the sky in letters, thank you for who you are!
That would soar a thousand feet high,
    To John, with Love

    The time has come,
For closing books and long last looks must end,
    And as you leave,
I know that I am losing my friend and mentor,
A friend who taught me to challenge myself and be the best I could be!
    That’s a lot to learn,
What, what can I give you in return?

If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start,
But I, would rather you let me give you my heartfelt thanks for all that you gave from your heart!
    To John, with Love

I will miss your spirit, passion, courage and strength.

  55. Dear Laura and family,
I am sorry we were not able to attend John’s service; I had booked tickets in Seattle for see the Moody Blues in concert for Allan’s birthday. John was of our generation, so he would recognize the band’s name.
I also feel badly that our paths did not cross during the latter part of John’s illness, but I want you to know that we often thought of the two of you, especially during Mass. You both were in our prayers. I have been preoccupied with the needs of my elderly parents.
I don’t need to tell what a great guy you were married to; we appreciated his insight, concern and good wishes for success in dentistry.
We also admired his strength and tenacity; it speaks to how much he loved you and the children.
You, John and your family have travelled a long and hard journey. I hope you can rest during the coming weeks, and that time will allow you to think about the many happy memories instead of the sorrow you feel now.
    Warm regards,
    Joan and Allan Kovacik
