November 12, 1929 – April 28, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacobus “Jack” Christiana Van Seggelen after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the age of 81 years.

Jack joined the Merchant Navy at a very early age, then joined the Army and was sent to Indonesia. For his years spent in Brampton, ON, he worked for General Motors. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Anne van den Hoogen; son Peter, daughter-in-law Nancy and granddaughter Cortney; son Damian, daughter-in-law Johanna and grandson Peter and extended family in Australia; granddaughter Melissa; and god-child Eric Van Seggelen. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Will and Puck and their families; nieces and nephews, Hank Wanders (Ans) and their family, Theo and Ineke Wanders, and Mrs. K. Van Seggelen and her family all of Holland; and brother Nick (Valerie) and family. Jack was predeceased by his son Tony in 2005.
