Condolence Messages

  1. Lorri & Wayne Petrie :

    Uncle Ed, Toni & Wendy,

We were very sad to hear that Aunty Gladys has gone to that big casino in the sky. Heaven is, afterall, what we wish it to be so we think that she wouldn’t mind a casino situated in the beautiful outdoors near the mountains.

Aunty Gladys was always one who made us welcome when we visited. The last time Wayne and I were together at the house, she and Uncle Ed made sure they had put out a spread for us. Lots of food and a great assortment!

We really loved Aunty Glady’s laugh. She loved to laugh and have fun and she instilled this on her girls, our cousins. She was so lucky to have a wonderful marriage and a beautiful family of huggers. We are pretty sure the hugging part came from her genes.

We hope the memories of the wonderful times together provide you all with comfort during this emotional time.

We are sorry that we can’t be there for the service ourselves, but on 9:30am BC time, October 19, 2013 we will be paying our own tribute to Aunty Gladys (wine optional)

    Love,
    Lorri & Wayne

  2. Jane & Gordon Farquharson :

We are so sorry to hear of Gladys’ death. If only we could have all gotten together just one more time, under healthy circumstances……

As Gladys’ sister-in-law, and Ed’s sister, I had known Gladys since she was 17. Even though Gladys and I were born the same year, she always reminded me she was 6 weeks younger than me. I was so happy to be part of her and Ed’s life; in their bridal party, remembering the birth of each of their daughters. Gladys was a good sport and up for an adventure. Afterall, she accompanied 3 Tuckers (Ed, Me, our Mother) on a road trip all the way from The Pass to Victoria BC, part of the trip on a Washington State Ferry to boot!

We remember so very well Glady’s home cooked meals. They were delicious and she could feed a houseful and often did!

We regret that due to illness Gord and I will not be able to attend the service on Oct 19.

We send our love to everyone in the Family and hope you are able to remember those fun and wonderful times you had with her.

    Love,
    Jane & Gord
