February 15, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta
Joe Toth, beloved husband of Christine Toth of Calgary, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the age of 57 years.
Joe was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend to many.
He was born in Calgary and raised by Hungarian parents who taught him the love for culture, food and a strong work ethic.
He had a zest for life and lived every moment to the fullest. Joe created a successful business which spanned over 33 years where he engineered and built many beautiful and unique jewellery pieces. His philosophy in business was reflected by the quote that hung in his shop, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”.
Joe loved spending time with family and friends whether on vacations, ski trips or casual dinners. His love of travelling took him to many places in the world which he shared with his family and friends. Through his travels, Joe developed an appreciation for fine wine and became an avid wine collector.
He enjoyed good food and had a real flair for barbequing which was always accompanied with a nice cold beer and great bottle of wine. Joe acted as a successful General Contractor where he built two homes for his family and completed many renovations throughout the years.
Joe was known for his loyalty, honesty and humor but above all he will be remembered for being an upstanding and courageous man.
We will all miss you Joe, you were a good guy. We love you.
Besides his loving wife, Joe is survived by two daughters, Pam (Jaime) Clague and Camila Toth; mother, Roza Toth; brother, Charles Toth; sister, Elizabeth (Jeno) Szamoskozy and their families and the family pet Copper. He was predeceased by his father Charles Toth and the family pet Duke.
