September 23, 1931 – May 25, 2012

It is with profound sadness to announce the unexpected passing of our father, Gerry, the last of his generation lived to be 80.

Gerry was born in London, Ontario where he grew up. As a young man, he joined the Canadian Army and was a gunner in the Korean War. After the war he returned to London and raised his family. Gerry enjoyed sailing on Lake Huron and camping; vacationing at Bayfield nearly every summer. He retired from General Motors in the early 1990’s and began to spend most of his time in Calgary to be close to his grandchildren. Gerry loved being in the outdoors and soaking up some sunrays when the sun was shining. He was a weather watchdog and always knew what was going on in the news. He enjoyed watching hockey, baseball, football and auto racing especially with his family beside him. Gerry got lots of happiness driving his trucks and helping his boys and their families whenever he was needed. He was a lover of animals especially his goldie dogs. Gerry will be sadly deeply missed by all his family and a few four legged animals too. Gerry will live in our hearts forever and never be forgotten.

Gerry is survived by his sons Michael (Julie) Tiffany, Jerry (Eleanor) Tiffany of Calgary, Alberta and Joe Tiffany of London, Ontario and his grandchildren Nicole, Patrick, Andrew, Cathryn & Michelle all of Calgary.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14th Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 264-5549, or to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 110 Avenue S.E.
