    To Mrs Tierney,

I’m so sorry for your loss. I got to know Mr. Tierney and yourself while being his barber. He was a wonderful client and he will be missed at our shop.

  2. Judith Meeks and Tony Andras :

    To dear Diana
We are so sorry to read of the death of Francis. We both have such fond memories of our time together in Toronto. He was supportive of our cooking, Judith recalling his favorable review on one of her purees. He was tolerant of Tony’s directness when in his cups. Tony also liked his worldliness, correcting him that the rolled edges of his hankerchief were Swiss, not Italian! We missed you when you went to Calgary and have thought and spoken of you since. We still think of you as friends and share in your pain at dear old Francis’s passing.

  3. Hi Diana:

What a wonderful picture of Francis. It captures his joy which I remember so well from that dreadful New Years party we hosted in Toronto so many years ago. He was the only ray of light that night. Sharon and I send you our thoughts and prayers.
