July 18, 1950 – May 6, 2013
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Terry, from complications due to liver disease.
The most important things in his life were his family, his bikes and time spent in the mountains. He was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest biking, hiking and cross country skiing. He was a member of the Elbow Valley Cycling Club and had many memorable biking trips including Italy and New Zealand.
He worked in the oil patch for all of his career lately with Devon Canada – a company the family is grateful to for their support and understanding over the past couple of years.
Terry was an off the wall wit who was always ready with a one-liner. He was a devoted brother and generous uncle who never forgot a birthday or anniversary.
He is survived by his brother David Tibble (Alison) and sister Barbara Lamoureux; nieces and nephews, Erin, Corey (Kim), Heather (John), Kent (Jacqueline,) Brett (Crystal) and great nieces and nephew Aiden, Makenna, Macie, Kyra, Mary and Sarah.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Frank Tibble.
We would like to thank the staff of Unit 94 at the Rockyview Hospital for their expert care of Terry and the staff at Southwood Hospice for their care and compassion of both Terry and the family.
Family and friends are invited to the home of his sister for an open house on Saturday May 11. Please drop by anytime between 2 – 5 p.m. when we can share stories of Terry and raise a glass. Address is 1403 – 89 Ave S.W. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
In living memory of Terry Tibble, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Calgary, AB, T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.Print This Obituary & Condolences
