September 9, 1962 – April 6, 2013
Mr. John Douglas Edward Thomson beloved husband of Julie Thomson (nee Schneidmiller), of Calgary, entered into “freedom” at the Rockyview General Hospital after an aggressive one month struggle against cancer on April 6, 2013 at the age of 50 years.
Johnny is survived by his loving family; wife Julie and son Julien Thomson, father Rolf Thomson (Wendy Hamilton), brother Gordon Thomson (Rosa) and sisters; Debbie Steenstra (Jim) and Linda Thomson (Simon Powell), father and mother-in-law Phil and Diane Schneidmiller, and brothers in-law Norman Schneidmiller (Kristen), Stoney Schneidmiller and several nieces and nephews.
Johnny was predeceased by his mother Carroll Thomson who referred to John as her “bestest boy”.
Johnny was well known for his smile, wit and humour and was loved by all. He will be deeply missed by EVERYONE who knew him.
Johnny was born on September 9, 1962 in Calgary, Alberta and he married Julie in 1999. John and Julie settled in southwest Calgary where they raised Julien. John was an extraordinary homemaker for seven years until his unexpected passing.
Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.
