  2. Gerald Forseth :

James John and family – Helen was a great supporter of all the arts, she liked historic architecture and we often talked about the poor state of new architecture in Calgary. I was fortunate to work with Helen and design (as architect) the new additions onto her house in Mt Royal. We had a good time together with many hours spent not just talking about her project but about our culture and the importance of the arts in the city. May she rest in eternal peace!

  5. To James John Thomson
We will be with you in spirit tomorrow afternoon and are very sorry not to be able to attend Helen’s service. Your mum was a fine lady, well known for her interst in the arts, in her immediate world and the world at large as well. Even when speech failed her there would be a knowing twinkle of recognition in her eye accompanied by a warm smile. Her time of peace has finally come. She will be lovingly remembered.
