  1. Peggi Guenther :

Dave was not only a good friend he was a true family man, he treasured his grandchildren and children, there was never a moment he did not talk about what they had done. He lived life to the fullest and never once did I not see Dave without a smile on his face. It was truly an honor to call him my friend. Our prayers go out to his family as it truly is a big loss for all of us, but he is not suffering anymore and has gone on to be with the Lord. We will miss you

    Lois

Robin and I were deeply saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. He was one hell of a nice man and he supported me to a very high level as part of our executive management team at Intergraph.

As I work with my current team and see short comings in how we treat our peope I always try to think what Dave would have done.

I have emailed with Dave over the past few years but did not know he was ill. Some day I will give him heck for that -:). A great man …

    Best

    Jim Wickson

  10. Ian Ferguson :

I took over sales at Digital in Calgary when Dave moved to HR – I had only known him in passing to that point.

There was no classier, committed, and dedicated person I met in Calgary. Dave made a big impression on Carmen and me. He was a gentleman and a exceptional manager and friend.

His passing has saddened us greatly!

  13. Don & Joanne Kay :

We wish to express our sincere condolences to Lois & family.
Don & I were introduced to Dave through the Canadian Cancer Association in July 2003 as I had just been diagnosed with CLL and needed help…… What good fortune that Dave was there for us! He was so supportive and caring to both of us.

With his leaving, he has left a big hole in our lives, but that hole is also filled with heartfelt thanks for all of his support, caring, kindness and knowledge. He will be deeply missed.

Captain Dave,… a nickname I gave him as he and Lois loved to cruise.
Bon voyage Dave. We are sure God has you as “Captain” on his finest ship in heaven.
May God bless you and keep you safe.

  16. Russ Grenon :

    Lois;
I was so sad to hear of Dave’s passing. My deepest condolences. From the time I was a rookie salesman at Computer Sciences, Dave took me under his wing. I followed him to Digital Equipment and was fortunate to have had a few productive, fun-filled years working with him. I learned so much from Dave, and as kind and generous as he was, I will always remember his quick wit and sense of humour. Dave could make me laugh, and we did on many, many occasions. How lucky I am to have had him for a friend.

  17. Elizabeth Locatelli Turgeon :

    Dear Lois,
I just heard about Dave’s passing and I’m so sorry and sad. In fact, I’m shocked. He always seemed to be the gold standard for CLL survivorship. He gave so much to all of us: hope, bravery, commitment, sharing, patience, giving, inspiration, importance of self advocacy … I always remember seeing the love between you both, side by side. It impressed my husband, Yvon; and he remembers both of you with fondness as well. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Dave. A candle is now burning in Dave’s memory.
    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth Locatelli Turgeon

So sorry to be so late with my condolences but I was just made aware of Dave’s passing.
Dave was a member of my Sales Team at Computer Sciences in 1969 – 1970. A long time ago I know but I have always remembered Dave. He, Ray Kurelek, George Swindle and Greg Van Clief were the nucleus of a great Sales Team! I know he is missed.
