It is with great sadness that we announce the quiet passing away of Shirley Martha Taylor on February 21, 2015, as she held hands with her loving husband of 47 years, Larry James Taylor.
Shirley was born and went to school in Wetaskiwin, AB. She also spent time with her parents in the lumber camps at Brule, AB., and in Grand Prairie, AB. Shirley enjoyed a brief career with the Alberta Government in Edmonton before meeting and marrying Larry. They moved to Calgary to raise their family and enjoy a wonderful life together. Shirley will be remembered for her enjoyment of family, friends and food; preferably at the same time.
In addition to her husband Larry, Shirley is survived by their children; Scott (Suzanne), Tracy (Chris) and Sue. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Andrew (Jade), Christopher (Nadine), Kayla, Addison and her great grandchild, Carter. Shirley came from a large extended family and is survived by Aunts, Uncles and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Cyril and Martha Young and her step father George Woodside.
