To the Svendsen family, my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I have very fond memories of Coach John, my first soccer coach in Crestwood many years ago. He taught me leadership by naming me team captain, even though I was not the best player; there was more to the game than just skill. We had a lot of success, but more importantly, we had FUN! He will be missed.

    Mrs. Svendsen and Family:

It made me sad to learn of Mr. Svendsen’s passing. He was one of those individuals who has such a profound impact on a young person’s life.

Although I am now a middle aged father and husband I can remember as clear as day the once in a lifetime trip to play soccer in the Denmark Cup 30 years ago. Our competing in that tournament in Coach Sven’s old country was the direct result of his drive and vision. Sven’s kindness and compassion will most certainly be missed, but never forgotten.

My family’s prayers are with you and your family.

    Margit, Glenn and Family,

I was saddened to see that your dad passed away. It brought back a lot of great memories to see his picture.

The Christmas dinner with the rice pudding and almond. Soccer of course with your dad Coaching and the time spent just hanging around.

The trip to Denmark with the boys and the fun we had after the cup and the boys went home.

Here’s to your Dad and all the happy memories – Skol!

    Love Kathy
