Condolence Messages

  1. Susan Kloepfer Collins :

    Dear Marilyn and Sharon:

I am so very sorry to learn of the passing of your dad and my dear Uncle Wally. Mom has of course kept me abreast of his health concerns; I am sorry about the suffering caused by his recent strokes. I am very glad my mom was able to be in Calgary this week. She will miss her brother greatly. He was a lovely brother to my mom, and uncle to me.

    Love, Susan

  2. Terry Schmunk (son in law to Hank Galvon- Walter's fishing buddy in Olds)-passed away Aug 30th 2006) :

Thank you Walter for our “instant” friendship. The joy and laughter we three shared in. What a great time we had. Our time on the creeks throwing flies, reading the waters, in search of the feeding trout, being careful they didn’t see or hear us. Our senses bathed in the sweet smells of Mother Nature, water trickling past our waders, the Sun baking our browned skin and us swatting the relentless mosquitoes who wanted a piece of us all… Pure fun… I will cherish the gift of your fly tying equipment as your Spirit lives on, here, with me. Your kindness and gentle Spirit has healed my soul. I love you my friend and am blessed to have shared this time together. Terry Schmunk

So sorry to hear of Wally’s passing.
It wasn’t that long ago that we were talking with him about our bridge nights in Shannon Estates which we so enjoyed on many a Friday night.

  5. Patricia Galvon Schmunk :

Walter was such a dear friend and fishing and hunting partner to our dad, Henry Galvon. He was a part of our lives as a family and was always welcome around the breakfast or supper table. His easy, gentle manner and great sense of humor were always wonderful and he shared them with us all. My sons and husband were lucky enough to meet Walter as well and share fishing adventures with him and their grandpa/father-in-law. He was fair-minded and kind to us all. He and Pearl will be missed.
