STIRTON – Patrick (Pat) David

May 26, 1920 – January 5, 2011

Patrick (Pat) Stirton passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the age of 90 years.

Pat was born and raised in Calgary. He led an interesting and varied life, working in different fields during his lifetime. These included Seismic Electro logging, working for a Calgary radio station; he then went on to work in Hollywood for a brief time doing film editing. He returned to Calgary and worked for Henry Birks & Sons where he met and married Lois. After the children were born, he worked for the city in the planning department. And finally, he became a real estate agent for a number of years.

Pat is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Eric Mosley of Calgary; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Heather Stirton of Cobble Hill, BC and Richard and Beverly Stirton of Kelowna, BC; and three grandchildren, Daniel, David and Talia. He was predeceased by his wife Lois Stirton (nee Duffus) in 1976.

    Mom has been trying to contact Pat for a while now and through a search we conducted on the computer found that our dear friend Pat had passed on January 5th. Mom shared many good times and lots of laughter with Pat. He was a dear friend to us. We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Cynthia and all the family and to let you know that Mom would like to say thank you for all the times she was included in family gatherings as it meant so much to her.
