  1. Janet Elliott McKenzie :

When my Aunt Theora Campbell Neault died on January 25, 2015, I wanted to contact her cousin, June Peterson Stilwell to let her know. I Googled June’s name for an address, and was saddened to see that she had passed 4 months prior, and that her daughter Patricia had predeceased her.

June, Theora and my mother, Mildred Campbell Elliott were first cousins from the DeMarse side of the family and until a few years ago, June and Theora corresponded regularly. I made contact with June a number of years ago and through letters, told me how she met and married her husband, had children and grandchildren. It was obvious that June was very proud of her immediate family and sent pictures of them along with pictures of her parents, Carl and Rosella (my Great Aunt Rosie)DeMarse Peterson. She also sent a picture of her parents’ grave markers.

Although I never personally met June, I did get to know her through letters and called to let her know when her cousin, my mother died in 1999.

June was a very kind and generous woman, and I’m grateful to have known her.
If your family is interested in the DeMarse/Dishneau side of the family, I will be happy to help any way I’m able. The funeral home has my e-mail address.

Again, I am so sorry for your losses.
