Sharon Rose Stevenson, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side, after a long and valiant battle with lung disease on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the age of 72 years.

Sharon loved her life in the country. She loved spending time with family and friends, and also enjoyed flowers, gardening and baking. Mom was a pillar of support, strength and inspiration to all of her beloved family and friends, and she will be sorely missed by all.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband John (Jackie) of 54 years; son Don and daughter in law Karen; Daughters and son-in-laws Debra and Michael Addinall and Denice and Rob McKinnon; grandchildren Dallas (Travis) Matson; Tyler Stevenson, Amy Stevenson, Bryce McKinnon and Kelsey McKinnon; great grandchildren Wyatt and Jennifer Matson. She is also survived by two sisters, Wendy Heisler and Susan Skoye; as well as her brother Brent Heisler.

Sharon was predeceased by her son Dean; parents Dorothy and Alvin Heisler; and her brother Myles Heisler.

A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be celebrated at The Cremona Hall (302 Centre Street, Cremona, AB), on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Sharon’s name may be made to The University of Calgary “Calgary COPD and Asthma Program” (HRIC 4C60 3280 Hospital Drive N.W.
